So a few tips that I’ve figured out

Catching rabbits: as far as I know, they have green scent trails. And can be found mainly in wc and tc by large burrows.

Catching mice: like the rabbits, mice can be by burrows but they are way smaller and harder to find. These little guys have a orange scent trail, and can be generally found in all clans.

Catching birds: these little guys scent trail is blue and are the hardest to catch. From my experience they can be found in sc and tc but in any spot and never get too close before pressing the “hunt bird” button.

Catching fish: sometimes near any body of water while in hunt mode, there is a scent marker showing there is fish there. All you have to do to catch it is wait and time it right.

Other tips
-on trails there are sometimes mice burrows

-you can see birds flying above you and I think you can watch them land

TIPS For The Strugglers: Go to the smallest or easiest clans first like for example WC and practice there, get used to everything and the hunting tools, after you've gotten used to it, work your way up with each clan! Though it takes a long time since it's a MASSIVE map you MUST be patient! The reason I find WC easy is because there's no trees or anything to hide the NPC prey! Hope this works!!

Tip: I have found out that rc is the most plentiful of prey, and they can be found deep near trees, or on the bay by water. The scent locatiins can also be green, red, and yellow!

Rabbits have green scent marks, wood mice have an orange scent mark and birds have a blue scent mark!

Wow I leave the game for like two months and there’s a prey update? I mean I heard teasers but this is insane! The devs of this game are amazing constantly implementing all of these features so quickly- kudos..really.

I love that we now have prey. It's just frustrating at how long it takes to find and catch the dang thing. It makes a hunting party less roplaying and more frustration. And for some reason, I can't seem to find any of the prey! I've looked and tracked prey scents for two hours and haven't found anything!

I often find that there’s spawn points, if I went to the left of the entrance to TC I would find a few birds, if I went to the right I’d find wood mice. And the occasion of rabbits and birds in places I don’t find em

Carrion helps me a lot when hunting XD Usually when I teleport there, there’s at least 1 bird there standing still or a rabbit nearby

The scent marking is messy and often multiple scents overlap each other, I think It’d be easier if the scents were more dispersed and spread out so you can focus on chasing ONE animal and not 3 at the same time

Something I struggle with is even finding prey? The scent trails never work. I remember once someone got really annoyed at me because I came back with nothing because I literally couldn’t find a thing. Hunting itself is pretty easy but finding prey? Impossible task for me. I don’t like playing warriors now LOL
