To form a coherent, trustworthy picture of the state of the Earth's climate we need regular measurements of the atmosphere, oceans, and land. That is why the Essential Climate Variables, or ECVs, were identified. The Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) provides the most comprehensive data collection of ECVs in a single platform.
