The only reason why Promise happened was because IRyS was basically genmates with Council.

A bit of history on Irys and Council (and why the decision to merge made sense):
- Irys solo debuted as a vSinger under Project Hope, not a streamer/vtuber like the rest of Holo. The only other vSinger is AZKi under INNK at that time (I think Irys was also under INNK, can't rmb)
- Council all debuted 1 month after her
- Irys had always been close with Council, everyone (incl themselves) called the group CouncilRys
- Lore-wise, they fit in pretty well, Hope with guardians of Concepts. She also narrated Council's debut video.


INNK and Project Hope eventually dissolved and they needed to fit Irys in with the rest of HoloEN (she could be kept solo but there's no real point to doing that). It made sense to merge her with Council. Functionally CouncilRys was already a group, the Promise rebranding just made it official. IMO if Sana didn't graduate, they would have merged Irys with Council anyways, both timeline and lore-wise she fits perfectly well with them. The other option would be to merge her with Myth, and she doesn't fit as well with them in terms of timeline and lore.

People say that Calli really does behave like the Dad of HoloEN, even organizing diners, and collabs like Odyssey... but Kiara really is bird mom of HoloEN. She can't deny she's motherly to all the younger gens.

A massive positive here can be drawn from what many see as the inevitability issue. The fact that Cover isn't even considering AI talents or replication guarantees a future for vtubing where actual performers are involved. As long as Cover doesn't replace talents with AI, there can be no end to the story that is Hololive EN, that story will be entrusted to new people is all. We already have this with the newer gens, who are practically stepping into the shoes of their forebears.

You truly can hear the revulsion in her voice at the suggestion. It is an unthinkable thing, not just to her, but to most.

She's right about some people thinking they'll be in it for life. Out of the three remaining, I would say Dad is probably going to be the one who gets closest to that. Not that I think Kiara or Ina plan on going anywhere too soon.

It reminds me of what Bae said about things when speaking about Mumei. She's got a list of things she wants to accomplish yet, and when that list is done, that will likely be it.

Fortunately, there's always going to be new people wanting this job with this company. It won't be the same as the EN that started out. It isn't even that now. But that doesn't mean it's a bad thing, just different.

Anyone reasonable would understand that eventually the girls would move on to other things. The concern a lot of people have right now is the rate of attrition. We’ve lost four members in 6 months. The last graduation we had before this was Sana in 2021(2022?). That’s a crazy difference.

The fans will eventually settle down, but it’ll take a while of no graduations. And if this does keep happening, in such a short time span, more and more people will start to demand that management fix whatever the issues are. For better or worse.

Calli’s my oshi, but Gura is the one who first got me interested in Hololive. So this is sad, but let’s enjoy the time we got left and know that she made the decision because it was the best thing for her. So let’s support her in whatever endeavors she moves on to!

Yes, please don't try to "refill" Myth or any of the other groups. "If you're not 'born' Myth you can't just be Myth" (or any other group).
Doing that would somehow cheapen the bond, brand, and concept of the various groups.
