I'm not religious, but as someone who has dealt with depression and suicidal thoughts this song really speaks to me.

I like the part where she sings, "my tongue dances behind my lips for you." She's referring to speaking in tongues. When I saw this band live in about 2008 with other Christian musical acts, by the time they came on stage I got closer to the stage and while I was in the crowd, I could feel the Holy Spirit around me and the love. I didn't want it to end.

Yes, this song is about meating God. Lacey was feeling suicidal as a teen and ended up in a church speaking with a man there. She felt like God was talking to her, she goes into a bit more detail in her book.

I've always thought it was paint coming down the wall. Lots of different colored paint. Lacey Sturm is a phenomenal artist. Her vocals and writing talent are tip top. Glad you enjoyed it.

You got it right away. There are some different opinions on what the blood coming down the walls is for. Some people say that it is a sign sacrifice on the cross. Many others believe that this song is about when she tried to take her own life and encountered God for the first time, and the blood is symbolic of her, as she was dying.

It is interesting that the chorus is completely made from parts of different Bible verses.

Not all of their songs are about Christian, and some of them are about some of the band member’s struggles. I was a fan from the moment I heard. Great reaction!!

I saw them live in 2009 in Seattle, I was 10 feet away from her, and there was 4 other people there. Then saw them 5hrs later at the full show. She's literally 4ft11. she's the sweetest. Got some pictures with her.

Even the Kristen May album was really good, even though Lacey left the band on good terms. A lot of fans were very bias against May at the time because they felt Lacey was forced out.

Magnetic, Set Me on Fire and Again are all really good songs from the Kristen May album.

Every album from flyleaf is amazing you will never hear a bad song from them. And lacey sturm is solo career is amazing music also.

Flyleaf is so damn good. You should 100% look into more of their music. The lead singer, Lacy Sturm, now does solo stuff. I really like their song Sorrow.

Great Song. Lacey Sturm has a Great Voice. Flyleaf’s 1st Two Albums are Absolutely Amazing. Wait til you Hear Lacey sing the Song “I’m So Sick”. When that Video was on MTV it Blew Minds all over the World. You will Absolutely Love It

I believe the song is about her seeing god during the moment she was about to end herself. Thank god she didnt, freaking love her work with this band
