I never liked Pence, and I still don't, but one thing you gotta give him: He's honest and unwavering. Imagine being pressured for days by Trump, his cronies, basically the entire Republican Party, and having a mob of thousands call for your head right outside the door...

Respect for Pence. But to think it came down to 1 person, is not a good omen for the future of democracy, around the world.

I think unraveling is a bit of an understatement.. when theres a noose and a mob screaming for a hanging.. seems more like a murderous rage.

Trump on Jan 6 "If Mike Pence does the right thing, we win the election." HOW DID I MISS THAT?!?! I mean, it was a nuts day but that seems like an admission of guilt to multiple crimes right there.

Yeah
Bringing out a noose does tend to end a relationship

Honestly. Hats off. I respect the guy; he's loyal to the constitution.

Regardless of what is your party of choice, I found a bit of hope in seeing that there are still politicians that put the rights and duties of the Constitution before their own or their party’s interests.

Good thing Pence stands on his words. He deserves the respect he is entitled, he is a decent man. He respects the constitution. He did not listen to the MAGA idiots to commit a federal offense.

As much as I disagree with Pence on a lot of things, I admire his adherence to principle and constitution.

No, Mike, he wasn't ever your friend. A friend is somebody you're true to. Trump is true to nobody.
With Trump, as everybody who knows him says, "Loyalty is a one-way street."

Never thought I’d say that, but thank God that Pence had courage to stand up to Trump and protect the Constitution!

The prevailing view these days in political circles is that Mike Pence cannot win the Republican presidential nomination in 2024.

A society where justice crumbles becomes a country without hope for its people.

Good to know at least some Republicans still care about our democracy and constitution

Of all the idiotic things Trump has said, “You're too honest” will be near the top. Hand, it’s a long climb to the top.

So following the law as a Republican Vice President against real tyranny is damaging to a political campaign. The more severe the indictments of a lying cheat with such disregard for the rule of law. Part of his campaign is benefiting.

As much as I do not like Pence, we should really celebrate his courage. Imagine what would have happened if he caved!
