GS is not getting the credit they deserve. Also you forgot the accuracy, +0.5 sec per day. Closest competitor is Rolex with +2 sec per day.

You can actually buy a Seiko with that spring drive movement. But for 5k you might as well save up a bit more and get the Grand Seiko. If I ever do I'll be watching that seconds hand every second of the day. It's literally mesmerizing.

The beauty of this tech is that it's not limited to Grand Seiko: mind you, *no* Spring Drive watch is "cheap", but you can get your hands on a Prospex Spring Drive for a good deal less than the "entry-level" model from a certain celebrated Swiss brand.
