I have the MK1 For about 4-5 years, it is my daily backpack, is perfect, the molle has not lost shape, the foam on the back is still in shape and I have only changed the handle for paracord and the zippers for reflective paracord . It is by far the finest backpack I have ever owned.

I purchased the DUST MK1 when they were selling out existing "old" stock. It is generally a thoughtfully designed pack with outstanding workmanship. The only 'con' is that the shoulder straps are too short but then I am broad shouldered. If you have big shoulders this pack is likely too small. Go with the Dragon Egg.

Kind of disappointed that a lot of the gear on the Direct Action website is either out of stock or simply gone/discontinued. What's up with that?

Mk1 version was better, the side pockets have 2 less rows of molle and they eliminated the nice zipper pulls the mk1 had. The mk2 was a downgrade in my opinion, possibily for cost cutting purposes. Please bring back the extra rows of molle on the side pockets, it's a big selling point to have them and now that there are only 3 rows it leaves barely enough room to securely attach anything like a canteen pouch.

Too bad, Direct Action products are nowhere to be found in Indonesia 🙄 Ironic, since such as this bag is manufactured in Vietnam (SEA region). Unlike in Singapore, lot of people who sell your products, but unfortunately we are unable to purchase it from there. I own the Direct Action Dragon MK2 for the price of about $120 and I must say it's really difficult to get, but superb backpack. I want to get Dust MK2 but it's hard, super hard to be found in Indonesia.
