There are swarms of LASO that are gang members. They prior to entering the sheriff's academy, they are taught to stay low as new recruits and groomed to become notorious deputies. They have ties to the Mexican Mafia and take large bribes to do what is asked of them. They are very plain to see and obvious to watch in the field. There movements and attitudes are all played out on the streets of Los Angeles. The more immature ones stay inside the jail system until properly groomed, some stay to teach the new. LASD is infested with gangs, even going as far as to recruit white, Asians into their secret underworld of criminal doings. The L.A. Sheriff knows about this ongoing problem but has never acted upon it! From inmates to public have suffered at one time or another by these gang banger deputies.
