Analog Gear Vs. Plugin Emulation..which is better?

Is plugin emulation as good as real analog gear...or just a pale imitation of the real thing?

Ha nice, It's like going to a restaurant, in some places you can watch the chef cook, and see everything they do, but mostly, people just want something really nice and good to eat for dinner, I think of it that way, the longer you make music, the more you understand frequency, tone, colour, shape, dynamic and musical intent, the easier it is to essentially paint the bigger picture with all the colours you want. It's always about the audience, if you are happy and people like it, then well...winning? yes, I reckon.

It's an absolute curse that we have in the music world where people are more concerned with what tools they use instead of what techniques they use. So bad, that musicians tear each other down over it. If it sounds good, who cares if its digital or analog? A ton of the fee stuff sounds like gear you would have to drop 3 grand on!
