ILYUSHIN IL-76 SCREAMING LOUD DEPARTURE with incredible Sound (4K)

About a week ago I finally managed to film my first Ilyushin IL-76TD of Ruby star with titles. I have already filmed another IL76 of Ruby Star before but there weren` t any titles on the plane which is kinda boring. The IL76 is always an amazing sight and the four classic vodka to sound converters make every IL76 Departure an unforgettable experience.

The IL76TD is not allowed to fly to europe anymore since 2003 because of its loud engines. Whenever one of them enters the european airspace they need a special permission. That` s why they are extremly rare in this region and why I try to film as many IL76TD` s as possible.

Thank you for watching, new videos every tuesday and friday.

Was damals in der UdSSR an Fluggerät gebaut wurde ist Wahnsinn. Es gab so viele schöne Iljuschins und Antonnovs.

In 2004 I had the privilege to be a passenger of an ukrainian IL76 during a cargo flight to Baku. After take off the co-pilot told me "now you are the co-pilot" and placed me on his seat. He went over to the bench to have a nap. I'll never forget that.

2:24 The black bird flying between the camera and the IL-76TD landing looked pretty cool.

These IL-76TDs are all fitted with Soloviev D-30 low-bypass turbofans - noisy, inefficient but uncomplicated and very reliable (somewhat similar to the units in B-52s); their sound is ofen referred to as 'The Soloviev Symphony.' To comply with European regulations, IL-76s in civilian use are gradually being retrofitted with Aviadvigatel high-bypass PS-90 engines - quieter, more efficient but more complex; they're easy to identify by the larger engine nacelle diameter and the addition of '-90A' after 'IL-76TD' on the nose.

Wonderful video! It brought me good memories. O was used to see some IL-76 landing at Recife (city in the northeast of Brazil), when i was a teenager.

I got to fly on a LOT Tu-154 in 1988 that had three of the same D-30 engines... Jesus, what a memory - Such power at takeoff, and the glorious sound... Sorry, high-bypass engines sound like a vacuum cleaner to these ears.
