UNICEF and Simon Char Won’t Stop Until Every Child Has Joy

“There are so many children who separated from their parents because of the conflict in South Sudan,” says UNICEF-supported child protection officer Simon Char. “I am almost like their parent because I look after them and care for them.”

There are nearly 8,000 “lost children” in South Sudan who are now forced to survive on their own. Char devotes his life to getting them back where they belong: with their families.
