BMI or body mass index is a number that we calculate to determine of you are a healthy weight. BMI is calculated by taking your weight in kilograms and dividing it by your height in meters squared. This is obviously not a number that we're able to calculate in our heads, so there are tools online that can help you do so.

On our website there's a B-M-I calculator, you can go there and just plugin your height in inches, and your weight in pounds, and it will tell you what your BMI is. A healthy BMI is anywhere between 18 and 25. Over 25, you're considered overweight. Once your BMI reaches 30, you're considered to be obese or to have obesity.

When your BMI reaches 40 or greater, this is when you're diagnosed with class III obesity or morbid obesity. The higher your BMI, the more likely you are to develop other illnesses that are related to being overweight, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, sleep apnea, infertility and even cancer. Everyone remember that bmi dosent measure your muscle mass aswell. It just counts your total mass as fat so if you think your on the chubbier side just ask a doctor to tell you if your overweight or not. BMI is not a good scale in my opinion
