Do this series again, but with smart upgrades plis 🙏

Biggest takeaway: Spending a little extra for good tires is one of the best upgrades you can make to any bike. That time difference is massive

I like the idea, and i wonder how it would have went with the "reasonable" option.
We all know cheap shimano 4pots are awesome for instance. Schwalbe tires? 30 bucks a pop.
What IF you picked the "reasonable" bang for the buck choice?
Looking forward to the next iteration of this format. ;)

I'd be interested in seeing Henry's time on Jason's "Baller" bike.

This is "interesting" for what it is, but sensible budget upgrades would be a lot more informative. Like Rockshox Yari or MT-520 4pot brakes, Brand-X dropper, that kind of stuff. Or if the fork is fine, like Henry's was, just a service kit will do.

Seems like a wasted opportunity to use the PB buysell (cheap bike) on suspension at least

Why not put on Brand X dropper post, nukeproof horizon bars and stem, deore 4 piston brakes and just service and put a new damper in the yari's..I bet that would cost less than £1100 and ride alot better.

Another gauge to consider is the Garmin watch monitoring the stress level going down the hill with those Mike Bear tires, LOL 🤣🤣🤣

Man.. what's with all the haters..
I think there's a LOT of viewers that don't really understand the principles at play through this series.. shame, I thoroughly enjoyed it.. cheers dudes ✨👌

I really hate everyone complaining about how the new parts aren’t upgrades. They literally said they got the idea from donut which does the same thing, getting cheap parts regardless of whether they’re upgrades or not. This series feels like it’s way way more geared towards entertainment than educational/informative purposes. And I love it

I don't think that 36 "something" fork is better in anything, compared to old rookshox pike .

Sometimes I wonder if these types of vids are made just to promote high end components. There’s plenty of budget kit out there nowadays that isn’t shit

Yeah can we do this series again with budget options, not the cheapest parts available? For example, Rockshox Zeb vs Domain, or Fox Factory vs Bomber etc. That would be a lot more similar to the Hi Lo series Donut Media did.

Never had more money been spent on making a bike worse😂

At the end I love to see the boys ride a budget and baller brand new bikes. Time the runs to compare to the modified and standard, because you can upgrade everything but the Geometry!

Best part of this series so far is the banging hype track choices the editors put over the timed runs

I want to see them swap bikes (with the Mike Bears) and see where the times fall and their experience going from top of the line to the ebay special (and vise-verse)

this episode really shows something that most "non-bike" people don't really understand. when i got my first GOOD bike with a set of Maxxis Minion DHF on both ends, i was amazed at how much of a difference a good set of bike tires makes. You tell someone that your bicycle tires are $90 a piece and they look at you like a nut, but you just cannot explain the difference in feel and confidence that you get knowing that you're going to grip, and being able to predict where the limit of that grip is.

So loving this series, it's definitely interesting to see what is worth spending on, and what is not. Also, Henry and Jason have great chemistry presenting together, which makes it even better!
