Asaduddin Owaisi Hits Out At BJP Over Nupur Sharma, Says Not Just Suspend But Arrest Nupur Sharma

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief, Asaduddin Owaisi has slammed BJP over Nupur Sharma's remark on Prophet Mohammed. He also said that Nupur Sharma should by arrested.

The BJP high command suspended national spokesperson Nupur Sharma on Sunday over her controversial remarks on Prophet Muhammad during a TV debate. The party has also suspended Delhi BJP's media in-charge Naveen Kumar Jindal.

This comes after violence broke out in Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh on Friday after some people allegedly tried to force shopkeepers to down shutters over the remarks made by Nupur Sharma. At least 40 people, including 20 police personnel, were injured during the clashes, the police said.
