There was an old Maestro pedal, a phaser if I remember correctly, in the Moog museum in Asheville North Carolina when I was there a few weeks back. Apparently Bob Moog did some design work for for Maestro.

What kind of tone plastic are those knobs made of? Nobody talks about how much those knobs affect tone.

I bought a brand new Fuzz Tone in 64. They came out in '62 and no one would buy one so if you bought a Gibson amp in '64 you got a free one. I was in a store when a country Music player bought a Gibson amp and as they were writing it up the purchase he tried it out and yelled out "What a piece of sh*t so I asked him if I could buy it. I only had change in my pocket just a bit over $14.00. So without a word he took my money and handed me the pedal. The pedal had the guitar lead permanently attached to the pedal. I hated that so I took it to a TV and Radio repair shop and told the guy my problem and he put a female 1/4" phone jack into it for me. I like to think that I had the fist modded pedal on the planet, LOL Anyhow it was a cool addition to my National one knob tube amp and my Harmony Rocket guitar, lol. since you asked, I am 75.

As soon as you began to play with the Fuzz Tone, I knew where Tich from Dave Dee, Dozy Beaky Mick And Tich got his guitar sound from on "Hold Tight" (and Hideaway, You Make it Move). I think he either used a Fuzz Tone or a a Tone Bender. Actually, my tc electronic Rusty Fuzz sounds a lot like it.
