Another fun trick you can do with raven familiars is to cast Shield of Thralls on it for extra HP and use it as a long range guided stun missile by flying and triggering AOO, very effective early game but you need illithid for it.

if you don't wanna go the evil style you can alway go with helldusk helmet for this build altough its pretty late ( house of hope), for the armor u can chose another armor and go with gloves like gloves of automaton for advantage in attacks or bonespike gloves to ignore resistances or the more obvious choice the abyss beckoners to make things harder for the enemies, they works wonders with the spiders and crows and their high wisdom, add to that the Disintegrating Night Walkers and congrats you re also a spider now .

I want to do this with Halsim. I think I will do two levels Druid Land/Moon and 10 levels Beastmaster.
