For a second my heart skipped a beat because I bought the full version two months ago... I tought it went completelly free 😅 But anyway, even with this free version available now, I'm glad I bought it. The Studio kit might be the one I use the least... The Grunge kit is my favourite by far. People complain about the lack of cymbals variety, but they forget to mention that they are all *usable* in a professional setting, with mix and matching sounding very natural. I much rather have just a few professional grade sampled cymbal kits than a metric ton of b.s. pieces with just a couple good ones in between.

i use MT power drums to add grooves on Modo which give you a little more versatility, sound awesome. thanks for the video.. 🙏

Great sounding kit, thanks for the precious hint! BTW: I discovered a neat little trick that should not work but nevertheless does in GarageBand (maybe in Logic Pro too, I don't know). When you add an accompanying drummer track to a GB project you'll normally get some sounds and presets from the GB library which sound mediocre at best. In the track it always appears like an audio file, not a midi drum track.

But when you replace the company drum plugin of that track (1st plugin in the smart controls) with the MODO drum plugin you still get the same beats - but played by the MODO sounds! You can alter anything you want in the MODO plugin menus and - what's best: You can also create different regions in the drum track which you can individually modify (by double clicking the region) with different beat presets, rhythm patterns, complexity, volume, fills and swing rates - just like if you'd use the GB factory drummers (which is not possible with the MODO factory grooves btw). And it will still use the better MODO sounds.

The thing that bugs me about IKmultimedia is the space their stuff takes up on my drives as the presume that I can and will afford all of their tools so much that they install every feature/plugin, etc from the beginning. I wonder how if I can delete the extra drum sets the way I did the unused plugins?

Trying it out, so far I like it. Sound quality seems good. I appreciate the amount of control you have. The $150 version is tempting.
Some things I don't like:
You have to register.
It installs a "product manager".
It downloaded 2 GB.
When it was downloading, my PC totally locked up. I had to power-cycle, but it installed OK after that.

Sounds really awesome. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be accepted by REAPER for some reason, and the stand-alone application would just crash and since it took an obscene amount of storage on my PC (even more than BIAS FX 2) I just uninstalled it.
