Hoover Institution Education Summit: Leaders Carousel

The Hoover Institution stands with many passionate, driven experts and leaders all working to improve the US K–12 public education system. Many of the top experts shared their ideas in a video montages shared throughout the Hoover Education Summit 2022 to help stimulate conversations during the program.

Experts addressed the topics of "The Biggest Challenges Facing US K–12 Education," "The Meaningful Changes that Need to Be Enacted in the US K–12 Education System," and "What Does Success Look Like 10 Years from Now?"

This parent's suggestion... Abolish the current system of public schooling. Keep it locally governed and funded. If parents enroll their children in a school system, they should be required to participate in the governance and policy making of that school. All teachers and school staff should be evaluated on performance rated by parent and student body - full accountability - based purely on academic metrics. Other subjects - arts and athletics - should be elective based on student and parent choice and participation.
