And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." Hebrews 12:1-3

Jesus, endured the cross, scorned its shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Death surrendered to Jesus. His resurrection Life continues to reign and to flow through those who believe, into the world longing to be freed from death.

Believer, you have been set free! May we not only proclaim this truth today as we sing together, but also ask him to flow through us into the world around us. Realizing we are surrounded by an incredible "cloud of witnesses," let's fix our eyes on him, that we may not grow weary and lose heart - for he is our Life - may that truth never lose its power!
