Surdo variations in samba. Free tutorial

In this lesson I explain how you can make variations on the surdo when you play samba. You can use these variations in your batucada group. Enjoy the lesson.

Well, I would start with the surdo. This is an important instrument but easy to start with. When you are playing surdo in a group, you will also have time to listen to other instruments and get a feeling of how those instruments fit in the pattern from the surdo.

Hi Gilles, Thank you for your comment! When it is possible, I try to give more information than only the pattern. Most of the rhythms have a relation with other instruments. I am very glad that you enjoy the video's!!
