I really recommend a sardine fast. My ketones went up from 1.4 to 4.9 in just 3 days. And glucose went down from 112 to 89.

This is THE MOST IMPORTANT ADVICE 👌💖 2-3 years ago I made this mistake as no one was talking about it … was doing great on KETO … but kept pushing for longer fasts till messed up my health. Suddenly hormones were all over the place. Had to stop even Keto for some time. I never blamed Keto … knew there was a missing link. Gave my self time to recover. Got off the weight loss race … only health recovery & healing for a year. Did my own research. I had extremely high stressful situations going plus Peri Menopause. Today I feel so much better and ready to start with a clean Keto and gradually … when my body is fully ready only then introducing long fasting. UNDERSTANDING & Listening to your own body is the key.

Prefer butter/fat fast instead of sardines
I love sardines but fat fasts are the bomb for me!

i didn't know any of this. i just gradually switched to all protein, and cut out most or all carbs, and eased into it that way.

ive been doing fasting for 2 yrs now when i started it was hard it took me 3 months to get into the swing of it now i love it i do 16 hrs stop eating after 7 pm skip breakfast eat at 11 im losing weight too im eating healthy exercising drinking water i feel frickin great im 60 glad i started fasting i, l keep doing it til i die food an eating to much is overated

I did a fast out of the gate. I couldn’t get through the carb cravings trying to go keto first. Did a 3 day fast and felt like shit. Ended up licking salt out of the palm of my hand constantly. I craved it so much. Three days later I started a Keri diet without sustaining uncontrollable cravings. Just little ones every once in a while. This is to say that advice can be good and legitimate but we’re very adaptable and you can be flexible with your needs without harming yourself. Was it a productive fast? Maybe not. But it got me started so it was valuable anyway.

I lost more weight on the Sardine Fast than I did on the previous 72-hour water fast. I just finished the Sardine Fast, yesterday. I will try a 72-hour water fast this week

Hello Dr. Boz, I'd like to do a sardine fast, but apparently sardines are not recommended for people who tend to develop kidney stones and suffer from joints (knee) pain. What would you advise me to do? I drink a lot of lemon water btw. Thank you.

Ive done different types of IF so now after 2 month of not doing it I started with 2 days of 8 hour window, then 2 days of 6 hour window and now Im on OMAD day 3. Lets se how it goes. I havent had major cravings so far, but Im expecting hard time in upcoming days.
