Looking good pal. I'm surprised you never opted for a BD with an air plate but everyone has their own preference at the end of the day. It's really starting to come together. I'm happy you chose to do a raised pond like mine. They do look great once their complete. Keep up the good work and make sure there's a good supply of tea handy !!

Hi Terry, I'm just in the process of planning my new pond build which is going to be very similar to yours. My garden also has a slope with about a 12'' difference from one end to the other. The bricklayer I intend to use has suggested that I lay a concrete base on the bed of the pond and then have him build the pond surround up from that base, but I noticed that you have just a concrete collar with 3 courses on top. I'm just curious why he would suggest such a method, when your way has obviously worked fine....any ideas? Thanks Terry

I would always recommend not having the pond edge so low down as this pond because so much rubbish gets blown in especially when you cut the grass.

Coming in well Wrighty. Love the brick work. You seem a dab hand at this pond lark. How many have you built to date and have they all been with a liner? Any experience with fibre glass and if so do you have any pos or neg views? Sitting waiting for part 4 now so dont rest too long.
