Error 1001 isn’t a real error, it’s more like a prank where one specific game just shows a fake error to scare you. In this case, a horror game called “The Survey” will show that error.
Example: an app that when opened will intentionally make a fatal error pop up.
If you see people playing another game, it’s edited.

PSA: there are no four digit Roblox errors. The highest is 774. There are rumors of 9982/9928 occurring way back in 2007 but I couldn't find a screenshot. 1001 was allegedly removed in 2013.

Basically it’s pretty much fake and it’s just trying to scare you and one time I got it and it sad there was more devices and in my house I have a lot and to get it is to play the game start survey? And I played start survey and I got the possible raid warning. (I didn’t get the 911 possible raid warning)

First off, you don’t need to be a scientist who studies quantum physics to know that this is fake. Though some people still believe this, rest assured that it’s not, and here’s why.

- Error Codes back in 2013 and appeared at the top of the screen instead of at the center. They were also red instead of gray like the error codes we get today.

- Let’s say you actually believe this. Serial killers tend to not arouse any suspicion when going for kills, so glass breaking is unwise for them given how intelligent serial killers usually are. Hypothetically, if I were a serial killer, I wouldn’t want to be loud when killing someone let alone multiple people. (There’s also another variant of Error 1001 where it’s a burglar instead but the argument still stands when you realize that burglars need to move in silence just like serial killers.)

- This Error Code is from a horror(I think?) game on Roblox called “Start Survey?”. You can play it on your own if you’d like.

- If there actually WAS a serial killer on the loose, Roblox wouldn’t be the one to notify you about it, it would be the government who will issue that kind of warning.

- For the kids who claim they got this error code, how are you still alive?

It’s fake, because usually when you get an error message in Roblox, the screen freezes and blurs. None of that happened here.

You could experience 1001 for multiple reasons, one is that your game failed to update and some of the files were corrupted. The second one is that the client (you or the app) is interfering with a server (here at Roblox HQ) signal, ” the response reads.
