The hook the you use is big I use #9 or 10

Would balance the bait better mine usually takes a few sec to sink to the borrom so

I'd just stick to using a sliding lead and a D rig hook setup... and simply accept sometimes fish miss or go for different bait😂

Hit the clip and keep a tight line until the rig lands, it doesn’t look like it’s gone in straight or it’s been moved by another fish. In which case I’d have a rig that resets better.

Nothing went wrong here. The carp just got spooked because he felt the rig... In some waters they just know about it....

Used a pop up and a mesh bag just to be sure many put some tubing on just to keep it all separate and on th ebottom
