No one ever mentions perinatal OCD which is what made me start to research more about OCD. I’ve always known that I had OCD on some level but I’ve never been diagnosed. I just learned to live with it. It wasn’t until I delivered my first child, and I began having these very intrusive thoughts that were very disturbing and uncomfortable. I now realize why it was happening and I have a better understanding. Thank you for making this video. For a long time I kept this to myself because I was afraid to talk about it. I would love to watch another video explaining more about that and I’m sure there are a lot of women such as myself that I want to know more but may be reluctant to talk about it.

The thing is Patrick, people don't want to remortgage their houses to get treatment. The prices are disgracful. No disrespect meant.

I had an appointment with NOCD only to be told they don't take Medical in California. So being privileged having ocd is with ocd in Berkeley having gone to the ocd conference, asking for help in Berkely MEntal Health, having knocked door after door and even having a case worker with still no treatment. I feel resentful with years of this. It's not fair. Btw, the poverty, hunger (literally), the eating with homeless, walking miles a day just to get some free food day after day...it's truly not fair the lack of help. I tried to switch to Kaiser who do have ocd help and they refused. My case worker has not helped after months and months of knocking on his door. I will ontinue trying. I am better as I have some work but still behind on rent.Living in poverty with ocd like this is a whole other animal. I remember even walking was affected.
