I wrote this fun song for my elementary geography classes to help teach about the equator. Hope you enjoy! (please note globe and equator images are not geographically accurate!)

Equator circles round and round,
But you can’t see it on the ground,
Zero latitude, not up or down,
On maps and globes is where it’s found..

Equator, equator, there’s nothing much greater,
It marks Earth’s north and south hemisphere,
You can never see it, but it’s right there!

It has no end, and it has no start,
Wrapping ‘round Earth’s widest part!
North and southern hemisphere,
For geographic features, it has no peer…
