In iOS 17 and iPadOS 17, Apple has introduced Messages-like reactions to FaceTime that lighten up your video with visual effects. But rather than triggering them with words, you can trigger them using physical hand gestures.

When you're on a ‌FaceTime‌ video call on an iPhone running ‌iOS 17‌ or an iPad running ‌iPadOS 17‌, you can now trigger on-screen effects like hearts, balloons, confetti, fireworks, and more, with the effects flooding the display over the ‌‌FaceTime‌‌ window.

What are the odds you would post this. I was on a FaceTime call after I just barely upgraded yesterday to ios17 and I was so confused when balloons started floating on the screen✌🏻 works on Snapchat too.

Why does it show if my man is on what’s app to me but his on iPhone and I’m on android on a what app call ? A random thumb 👍 would appear in a bubble that him or I haven’t reacted to ? I asked what was it he said he didn’t know ? Can you help explain this one to me please.

To the multiple people that keep complaining, it doesn’t work have some common sense and realize your iPhone is probably too old. This won’t work older than iPhone 13.
