Adult Life Support: Overdose cardiac arrest scenario

Adult assessment starts with 'Primary Assessment'. This includes ABCDE approach.

In Airway, the most important thing to note is whether it is patent or not? If it is not patent than manual manoeuvres followed by use of airway adjuncts need to be used. Supplement oxygen needs to be applied at this stage.

In Breathing, the rate and pattern of breathing takes precedence. Respiratory rate and oxygen saturations need to be monitored.

During Circulation, rate and rhythm of peripheral pulse followed by blood pressure and central capillary refill time need to be monitored.

This scenario could also be used for preparation of professional examinations.

Thanks sir for this video, really helpful. I will ask one question, as this was toxin overdose, opioid, cardiac arrest, , should not we tell the nurse to give frequent doses of naloxone while CPR is carrying on. As revising 4 Ts.. it was toxin causing the problem.. so can we add this will running the acls scenario?? Thanks
