I think it would played out better if the cast is actually facing the crowd face-to-face. It's hard to get excited when you only see their backs all the time. Some interaction between cast member would have helped to create some atmosphere too.

This is so uncomfortable. I suppose it’s a difference in culture. But, the host is so pushy, ordering ppl around, calling them by their characters. They are taking the “game” so seriously. The cast isn’t even facing the audience. The host should have facilitated some banter and humour between cast members.

could i explain a little bit? i have to admit that the host was pushy and some "jokes" were awkward, but im not with people who said that they had this part because of chinese love exams.we all know that this is the last xmen movie played by this group of people, so the topic that day was" graduation ceremony of xavier's school", so they included this part to show this topic, there is nothing to do with culture.
