Rosie actually dropped teasers for this song through few of her IG posts weeks ago playing this game with some of her friends at the afterparties of various fashion shows. In Korea, apt, or “apateu” is based on a popular traditional drinking game. In Western English we know APT. (as an abbreviation for Apartment) hence why she’s singing “meet me at the …” Also, it is stated that the Korean "Apateu, " is derived from the English word "apartment” which is why Rosie put her fluency skills of 2 languages to work and created such a fun POP banger. In the game "apateu apateu" is the chant used where “participants shout the phrase before kicking off a round” so that’s why Rosie is repeating this phrase which actually comes off as a great melodic tune. The meaning/term can kinda work as a double entendree depending on the culture you’re part of but it all stems down to technically referring to mean almost about the same thing. I think of the song being about meeting someone and when you meet up with them your goal is to play “apateu” to create a bond with that person and just have FUN. It’s like Rosie is saying “meet me at the apartment so we can play apateu” basically she is a genius. Rosie did say she was hesitant at first dropping the song since it’s based from a Korean drinking game and wanted it deleted but by that time her team fell in love with it and it was already set to be released. Now here we are Rosie and Bruno on a collabed bop singing English and Korean together. Btw, Bruno also says the Korean word (geonbae) which means ‘Cheers.’


As sum1 who is a Rosie bias I am proud of her and honestly this was such an emotional release for me. To see her growth and have such a seamless transition into a pop rock comeback just like this? Mind you she’s already topping multiple charts within few hours of this release in both the US & Korean charts. Rosie has always had this pop/rock/indie feel about her so if you ask me she’s def one of the BP members I feel can really build a successful solo career especially dominating amongst western audiences because she just HAS THAT true POP feel specially with that GOLDEN voice of hers that we love. She’s always been the “underrated” BP member too so to see her create such a positive feedback buzz in HER moment rn is so exciting because she truly deserves this and so much more honestly. The girls going solo is one of the best thing to have happened for them for their solo career growth and impact. Woah, thanks for supporting our Rosie. 🩷
