I never thought I'd be interested in school buses, yet I get excited when he uploads.

I drive a “flat nose” bus but my engine is in the front next to me. Sucks in the summer but I love it during the winter.

Our flat nose: is from the 80s

When I was in middle school, they had all flat nose buses, and would park in formation at an angle so the door was over the curb... you could tell they were immensely skilled at it after doing it so long.

Imagine the bus engine explodes and it’s a five star bus rating....

I work as a truck driver for a school district in Michigan and drive bus for overtime whenever they need it. Our entire fleet is comprised of flat nose buses made by Blue Dove. While we did have rear engine buses back in the day, the flat nose buses we have now actually have their engines in the front with the rear of the engine compartment jutting into the passenger compartment next to the driver’s seat. When we do our pre trip, we have to open the cover from the inside to inspect the engine compartment as the outside panels only uncover the washer fluid reservoir, radiator, and power steering reservoir.

That’s wild! Here in AZ there’s flat busses all over with the engines in the back.

My entire school district has flat nose busses, for some reason I thought the busses you drive were rare due to the metro busses

As a european i think american conventional schoolbusses look really cool and flatnosed busses like the ones where i live looks really boring.

For us we never see you type of buses. All we have in our county is a bunch of old flat ones

I have only rode a flat nose school bus once. Where I live the dispatch company for our district was first student Canada. And by the end before they got switched out completely for Golden arrow, they had one or two flat nose busses. Now Golden arrow is in place there's a decent amount driving around town. But it's mostly just long nosed busses.

Hmm, that's interesting. Where I live I see them all the time

I had a bus driver who drove a flat bus. Don’t remember the number, maybe it was like 11. But the driver’s name was Mr.Ford I believe. One of the nicest guys I’ve met. Every Friday he gave us candy, he was funny, and even let us throw parties in the back of the bus, where we would bring in all sorts of food and snacks and eat it. Plus, me being a little kid (like Kindergarten) all the big kids (and my brothers) would be really nice and make sure I got what I wanted. Good times🥲

That's weird cause my flat nose bus had an engine basically under the driver
