Nice observations and lessons. Another thing to play with for a retro verb and mix sound is to get somesort of lofi plugin and degrade the sampe rate and bit depth of certain channels. Those old consoles and hardware units sometimes did not have our modern sample rates and bit depths so that also effects the overall EQ sounds.

Another great explanation, thanks. On a tangent and your knowledge of all things plugin, could you recommend a decent acoustic preamp plugin that integrates into S1 please? I tried my TC Bodyrez pedal that I use on the floorboard into the interface to S1 but it doesn't really do the same job that it does on the floorboard. Thanks.
