The animals that compete at the Calgary Stampede are well loved and well taken care of. They are not abused in ANY way. Have you ever been out to the ranch? Have you ever spoken face to face with a competitor or member of the Stampede board? Have you ever been back to the barns during Stampede? Heck, have you ever even BEEN to the Stampede?

No bulls or brocs nuts are tied to make them buck - it's just a strip of itchy material. The chuck horses are retired race horses who'd otherwise be killed.

I am physically incapable of walking by one of the mini doughnut stands without buying some... good thing calories don't count during the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth (or so I tell myself....)

These animals live year round on a large ranch eating the highest quality food and receiving the highest quality veterinarian care. They are genuinely loved and adored by the staff on the ranch and the competitors at the rodeo. The horses used in the chucks are considered family members by the guys who own, care for and compete with them.

Please, take the time to learn the facts about Stampede before swallowing the drivel you hear from peta or the Vancouver SPCA - orgs with their own agendas.
