First time commenter, but I wanted to answer your question you asked. 2020 was my first sim experience, I can’t afford a nice enough pc to play, but when it came to Xbox I was so excited! I have ZERO experience in anything aviation. I’ve never been in a plane, at an airport or anything. I’m also disabled so I can’t travel. But learning all about planes, and thanks to your videos, helicopters recently. I’ve really enjoyed flying in all these places I would love to go irl. But my best moment was just last night, I took a helicopter and landed in the field right behind my house, looked to the right, and stuck the landing so well, I was literally right behind my house, and there it was in the sim. Amazing, at least to me. The sim has opened the world to someone like me that can’t get out of the house much.

My computer died years ago while FSX was new and I was devastated. So I started taking flying lessons, and bought a Piper Tomahawk with money my mother left to me after she passed. I had already accomplished my solo and was ready to take my check ride, but then In 2009 when the big market crash happened the company I worked for for 11 years closed its doors and I was unemployed, so I sold my airplane and my boat and almost lost my house. The Job I have now is much less money than I was making back then, so general aviation is out of the question, but I am hoping to get a new pc that can run FS 2024 at max settings, which I know will be big money for me, but I miss flying so much, and you can cover the world in FS. Might have to upgrade from all my CH Products flight controls though. I am happy to follow you and enjoy your content and excitement that you show on your channel.

Thank you your video. I’ve been a flight simmer for 40+ years and now, at the age of 71, it remains fun and interesting every time I fly. It’s hard to pin down a certain MSFS 2020 experience, because each time a new airport, scenery, or aircraft is released it’s like a whole new adventure. Bottom line, that’s what it is for me: an adventure. I look for to seeing your first video on MSFS 2024, so cheers to you and to flight simming. 🎉

What a fitting farewell to FS2020 AvAngel. I enjoyed every minutes of it - both of your video AND of MSFS.

For me, this Episode of flight simulator revived a passion I used to have in a different age - in the FSX times. Since FSX I got a girlfriend, then a wife, then a house, then a career.... And I kinda forgot about flightsimming. But when MSFS came out, I accidentally read about it in an article in the local newspaper and my interest was back. I've enjoyed every minute of it since then and I'm looking forward to MSFS2024!

Such a beautiful conclusion to MSFS2020. I still remember when it was first released. At the time it was the only way most of us could even fly because of the pandemic. I remember the joy of seeing my own house in the sim as I was flying over my home town. I would also record myself flying over my friends' houses and sending it to them. Often times I would also fly over Disneyland or Disneyworld and try to land on Main Street! I have never regretted finding your channel. But the best thing about MSFS is that it's allowed us to explore different places that in real life could be unsafe to travel to and find the beauty that exists in every part of the would and imagine a world without war, poverty, or corrupt authoritarian governments. Just people from all backgrounds who enjoy flying together.
Your video of you flying over your home and encouraging us to do the same still sticks with me and one of these days I'll get around to recording myself touring over my home area and upload it. I thought about making my own channel, but quite honestly I don't know what I would do that's not already being done by a lot of others.
I've done flight simming since SubLogic's Flight Simulator 2 on my Atari 800XL. For a long time, I felt like I was the only woman in the entire flight sim community. Even then, I'm a transgender woman, so some would argue that I don't count. I was always sure there were other women who enjoy this hobby, but I never came across any of them, so even though I was in different virtual airlines and flying groups, I felt isolated. In FSX/P3D, my favorite aircraft were some of the A2A and LHC planes because you could choose a female pilot. In Microsoft Flight, you could choose between 4 different pilots, two of which were female (but we don't talk about Microsoft Flight lol). Then we saw several different avatars to choose from and some addon avatars in 2020. I don't know how easy it will be to make my avatar look as close to resembling myself as possible, but I'm looking forward to creating my own pilot in 2024 and seeing what hairstyles and outfits we have to choose from. I would love to see more added with content updates. I want to be able to wear a different outfit every time I fly!

A lovely sign off! You are one of the flight sim content creators that have increased my enjoyment in the simulator. I enjoy your relaxed, non scripted approach, and hearing a female voice in a sea of blokey gaming content is so welcome. MSFS 2020 was my first flight simulator, and parallel to that was my foray into VR. They have gone hand in hand. The journey for me would not have been possible without content creators, and their guidance.

I have re-created many of the flights you have posted. With two stand outs in particular - the cliff diving in Africa (what a buzz), and the flight you did into a little cabin not far from Milford Sound in the southern part of New Zealand. NZ quickly became one of my favourite places to fly, and the short skip from Glenorchy into Milford Sound became the route I would show family and friends who would come over to try out the simulator in VR. I did that trip in a storm in the Kodiak 100, and my oh my it was fun. Concentrating on the instruments really increases the immersion, and flying out of dark clouds into areas of visibility with Hans Zimmer epic music playing in the background is thrilling.

OK, three stand outs. I remember that it was you that showed me the Victoria Falls add on. Which I am so glad I purchased, its little animated boats and ultralight really brought the area to life. It has been another fave spot to fly, especially once I started flying helicopters and purchased the amazing Hughes 500E (and yes your review helped me decide to get that little gem of a heli).

I am super excited for MSFS 2024. See you there!

Let me be serious for once. I had and have a lot of fun watching your videos. And I always love your iconic "BYE" at the end of every flight. Two years ago I spent quit some time in a hospital .... and your work always cheered me up - thank you. Please keep up your you-tube adventures. You bring so much light-hearted fun to us and I look foreward for your MSFS 2024 adventures. BYE ;-)

I'm playing on Xbox with 1550 hours of flight time. The sim has its share of issues on the console but on the other hand, it's been a miracle that it looks and works so well on the platform. I don't have one defining moment but many moments of wonder, where I just couldn't believe how realistic the world looked. Many time I just couldn't stop looking around and admiring the scenery from above. The sim also made me learn an incredible amount of real-world aviation and it's an amazing experience.

What a touching video. I feel the same way about a lot of what you talked about. I started with aviation from books and eventually to flight sims and it has been a passion.

This sim was a real gift to aviation lovers. So many addons have made it spectacular. Making an aircraft was like creating a stage for the pilot to perform on. Bring in enough immersion so the player can cerate a story around it.

My best immersive experience in the sim was with my Wedell-Williams doing the transcontinental race. To do it right, you have to stay on magnetic courses and keep an eye out for ground references. But with live weather, I hit a patch of zero visibility and had to trust the instruments and some very small tell-tells like the compass angle to get through it. Moments like that do connect you to the stories you read about the aviation pioneers who achieved so much with such basic planes.

I am actually very excited about the capabilities of the next sim version. I think we will be able to bring even more immersion and realism to the story.

just wanted to thank you for all the fun so far ! I started on 2020 and the main reason that I like msfs is that the videos and comments you have shown us are fantastic as helping us to learn to fly, the fun you have given in your escapades, and the way you have made it all feel that i'm not flying alone. No one can match all you have done for us, and if I'm feeling a bit low you cheer me up. An Angel indeed !!

Too many real experiences that I feel fortunate enough to recreate in the sim. When I first learned to fly in a little Cessna 150 in Camden, NSW, a lifetime ago. Maybe I'm softer in the head than I'd always assumed but the thrill of flying over the simulated Lake Burragorang up through Warragamba Dam was deeply moving. Then your clips, together with many other great content creators under COVID, not only saving our sorry locked down arses every few days here in sunny Australia, but as importantly inspiring us to create our own content. And finally resuming flight lessons down at Tooradin here in Victoria and demonstrating to my long suffering 'uvver 'alf where I'd flown, courtesy of the simulator. Long may the adventures continue, m'lady. Thank you.

My most recent "WOW!" moment in Flight simming has to be first time I tried VR with MSFS202. That was all my dreams come true since playing Aviator on a BBC Micro in 1984 . Yep, I am that old.

It was during lock down and the thought of being able to jump into the Cessna 152 and do some circuits at Rochester airport during my lunchbreak was mind melting. Landings and takeoffs became so much more organic and fluid. Flying in and out of clouds. was breath taking. I remember once having the sun warming up the side of my head at my desk, and in the sim the sun was on the same side. It felt so real as if I was in another world. The immersion was really amplified by that simply physical sensation.

Firstly, your videos taught me so much. I must have purchased 10 or more aircraft from your recommendations. You introduced me to GA flying, as I’d only flown the airbus a320 and the 737 Boeings. Then GA flying exposed me to places I know I’ll never see in my lifetime… Avangels hideout was awesome. I flew the whole of British Columbia and Alaska in my carenado’s because of your videos. Thank you 🙏 for making my Msfs2020 memories so awesome 💕😘😘💕

I subscribe to your content, as you (along with a few other youtubers) are always quite honest about what matters, and never too "hyper" about content or drama (though I can enjoy some drama when needed). You are right about Asobo. I cried when I saw the 2020 reveal trailer from disbelief that Microsoft flight simulator was coming back after such a long time, and in such an incredible and spectacular way.

My most WOW moment was the MSFS2020 Area 51 raid, then the subsequent raids we did in other places, like Chernobyl. Flying with friends was great fun!

Salute to you, AvAngel! And salute to Asobo. Looking forward to many more of your flights in MSFS2024!

Great video really enjoyed it. I started simming 5 years ago with Xplane as I wanted to fly heli's. When Msfs2020 came along the scenery was what pulled me into it. I am now 79 and am looking forward to MSFS2024. I have now got a quite powerful PC with Wharthog throttle and stick with TPR rudder pedals. I enjoy the shear joy of flying low and slow and taking in all the amazing scenery. I will look forward to seeing you first video within MSFS2024. Keep up the amazing flights.
