How to pick your GCSE's. Should you do double (combined) or triple (Separate) science?

I want to help you achieve the grades you (and I) know you are capable of; these grades are the stepping stone to your future. Even if you don't want to study science or maths further, the grades you get now will open doors in the future.

our school decide who do double or triple, we will find out at the start of Y10

My option form is due in tomorrow and I've been so stressed out over whether I should do triple or double, my teacher and parents haven't really asked what I thought. I enjoy science but I find it so difficult, thanks for this video, it made me more sure on doing triple! 👍🏼😊

From experience i would say if ur planning of doing a science at Alevel its best to do triple science. GCSE triple science helped me so much when starting out Alevel physics.

To be honest everyone I know have said triple isn’t that much harder than combined and since you get more lessons in it, it’s easier I dunno though I have been offered it still don’t know if I will choose it

At my school you don’t get a choice. If you’re in set 1 or set 2 (like me), you have to do triple science. If you’re in sets 3 and 4 you have to do combined and if you’re in sets 5 and 6 you have to do foundation science.

I was in top set but I went down by a few marks but every one no matter what grade u have has got the opportunity to do triple or double.

In my school to get into triple science you have to be in set 1, 2 or 3 for maths, science and english and also pass a past gcse paper to get into triple science

In our school we don't get to choose whether we are going combined and separate science. I got separate science as I am now in top set science.

I've just started year 10 and in my school the teachers choose which science they think we should do and currently I'm doing double/combined science even though I really enjoy science and want to take on triple science.

Good luck not dying of boredom if you are intelligent and take combined. It isn’t an option if you are intelligent you must do it, the combined curriculum is crap

I. Doing triple at the moment but I a want to do double, it's to much content to learn and very stressfull

I took triple science and I do have to work so hard at it but its definitely very interesting, I have 9 lessons a fortnight of science overall - maths and then double physics one day which is tough but to anyone trying to decide between it I would say definitely chose it if you are prepared to work hard and put the effort in!

I go to a grammar school therefore we all have to do double science. I also have to do the main subjects including a language and a humanity. For my extra subjects should I do what would be beneficial with a grade I could work hard to get or a subject I enjoy with an easy grade? Should I pick something I don't necessarily enjoy or that isn't as easy but very beneficial and useful to universities etc.
