Aw man I missed the stream where you got killed by it but I did advocate for this little jet awhile ago in a separate stream. This thing was much more fun before the 9L buff and Su-25’s but it can still do work. Glad you liked it

I was grinding to get all three R2Y2's with the F86F-40 JASDF and this thing was the bane of my existence (alongside the F104A, but I could at least ground pound while avoiding their strafes). If you're in a 8.3-9.0 subsonic you just can't do anything against this thing since it out-turns you, out-speeds you, and it's energy retention is absolutely nuts. I honestly don't like flying it in downtiers since I just feel too bad when I kill sabres and MiG-15's with this, especially because I had to experience that myself.

It takes a lot to dodge the missiles. More often than not I do find myself able to dodge even the most agile of missiles

Been attempting to grind my way to top tier jets on Germany and I wonder if it's even possible. None of the German 9.0 jets have flares, kept losing money on expensive jets to the point I caved and went American premium harrier. I think a few videos on how to grind better for different countries (with 9.0 meta) would be helpful cause I was suffering.

when i was grinding the japanese sabre 40 to get f104j i got a lot of these planes both sides. And my opinion is that there is no middle ground with this thing. It either crushes the enemy team that i cant get a kill or straight up dies without doing anything. As for dogfighting it I find sabre 40 a good enough counter to it as the sabre outturns it in the first turn and if you can kill ariete in that turn you win if not ariete wins.
but thats just my opinion.

F4D Is the only jet that can out perform the Ariete in a low speed dogfight.

F4D plays like an arcade jet below 300mph, especially if you pop combat flaps airbrake and afterburner.

Hi, you should do a video in the Yak-23, i've been flying it a lot lately and its a pretty good plane(only problem in my opinion is the lack of a gsuit in a turn fighter jet) i got a full uptier to 9.7 yesterday and mananged to get 5 kills in the match. I dogfighted a saggitario for about 1min and won in the end, so for its BR the Yak 23 is a great performing plane

Love this plane, I only get killed by A10 and S25 players. Kinda annoying, but it's so damn fun to fly.
