AzureFunBytes Episode 42 - Hybrid Cloud on @Azure with @ThomasMaurer
Показать описание
AzureFunBytes is a weekly opportunity to learn more about the fundamentals and foundations that make up Azure. It's a chance for me to understand more about what people across the Azure organization do and how they do it. Every week we get together at 11 AM Pacific on Microsoft LearnTV and learn more about Azure.
This week I bring you the great and prolific Senior Cloud Advocate Thomas Maurer. We dive into the world of hybrid cloud! Not every application is born in the cloud, but they can certainly interact with it. A hybrid cloud is a type of cloud computing that combines on-premises infrastructure—or a private cloud—with a public cloud. Hybrid clouds allow data and apps to move between the two environments. Companies across the planet are making a decision to integrate their on-prem solutions with cloud services such as Azure. Rather than have the datacenter be the end of where a solution lives, companies can integrate their network, configure VPNs, and use the various services with Azure to help extend their infrastructure.
00:04:24 - Intro to Thomas
00:13:31 - Let's talk Hybrid Cloud
00:20:25 - Azure Arc
00:25:15 - Tagging your resources
00:29:41 - Policies for your servers
00:38:17 - Log collection from our resources
00:45:35 - Adding a server to Arc
00:56:42 - Visualizing our resources
Our agenda includes:
- Introduction
- Customer challenges with Cloud and Hybrid
- - Customers need to manage 100-1000s of apps modern and traditional.
- Customers have a diverse infrastructure (different hardware and locations)
- Customers have multi-cloud environments.
- Data can’t go to the cloud
- - Data sovereignty
- Networking requirements etc
- Azure offers lots of hybrid solutions
- - Overview (Azure Arc, Azure Stack family, IoT)
- Azure Arc
- - Intro to Arc
- Control plane to manage infra (Linux, Windows Servers, Kubernetes clusters) INCLUDING DEMOS
- - Inventory / Tagging
- Azure Policy
- Onboard a server
- Use Azure Management services
- Quick mentioned and demo K8s with GitOps
- Use Azure Data services outside of Azure
