This tournament is honestly giving me some flashbacks/vibes from Frostbite 2020, where there was a ton of upsets and a bloodbath in losers between top players. SSC2021 is not nearly as drastic in terms of upsets, but there has still been quite a lot of them this time around, more than usual.

At least you dont have Leo in Losers bracket this time lmao.

Marss along with many other top players needs to learn to DI Falco up throw. It is super hard for Falco to kill if you have good DI (watch some of Nairo's gameplay against Falco to see what I mean)

Tilde was constantly punishing marss for being too agresive and marss never decided to play campy until games 3 and 4 but switched back to aggressive game 5 and lost the set for it. Also marss never di a single throw correctly at 90

Yo, in game 4, Marss teched Falco's down air and it was a really good tech and hard to do especially on reaction and it was overlooked by the commentators but, phenomenal tech Marrs

I knew this set was worth watching and finally getting around to it, good lord that final stock situation in game 4 had me at the edge of my seat. Overall great stuff, fan of both of these players and seeing unbiased commentary from the casters made for a great experience!

I know Marss has proven in the past that he can always potentially make crazy comebacks, but I've notice lately his mentality/game-play often seems to crumble when he SDs.

Commentators never mentioned it, but Tilde's use of top plat of battlefield is clinical for more reasons than just combos. Full hop perfectly reaches the top plat, then he either drops down, short hops, full hops, or double jumps to constantly mix up timings of engagements in neutral.

Just by watching their online set the result was pretty much clear. I anticipated this upset even before the tournament started (if they were going to face each other)

Marss missed every single tech chase that whole set. Tilde techrolled in for the first half, then out for the second, but marss just kept covering tech in place

This is such a fun matchup to watch. Both characters are very heavy on vertical combos, and seeing what decisions these players are making in order to take over neutral and get their own combos in is very interesting.
