I live and was born i Greenland and the thing you said that Greenland would not get independent but that is not true we are developing ways to make money and become independent.

also they don't really have access to higher education without Denmark. Moreover they'd have to get their own Sirius patrol and navy, otherwise they'd lose a ton of international legal protection over large parts of greenland because technically it will become uninhabited no mans land and be avalible for colonisation by other countries.

Ik it relies a lot on Denmark but if it became its own country, it can be Allies with Canada, United States, or Iceland.

On the bright side, they could control part of the Northwestern Passage and make money there. The process of gaining independence would most likely not be violent because Greenland already has a lot of autonomy. It would probably join NATO
