The C rating is not for electrical fires, an active electrical current may cause an A or B fire, the C rating specifies that the type of extinguisher being used is “non-conductive” meaning you will not get shocked if you try and put out the fire with that extinguisher. In pool areas stored chlorine needs a water extinguisher, sometimes the chlorine is stored in a back room next to electrical equipment, in this instance rather than installing a Water and ABC near each other for an untrained person to kill themself with chlorine gas a Water Mist extinguisher would be installed because it is C rated.

I still remember the first time at school some one told me to get one of those in high school. To press it and point to those kids and I did it .and they where just all dirty.

All the videos on this subject including this video fail to teach you
the most important point. Most if not all the fire extinguishers you buy
at the store come with a plastic tie holding the pin in place. But
unless you have something to cut that plastic tie with, you can't pull
out the pin which makes the extinguisher useless during an emergency.
In other words the instructions should warn you to cut the plastic tie
after you purchase the fire extinguisher.

But... How do i actually make the fire to use my extinguisher on it? Why is there a tutorial for the extinguisher when there is not even one for the fire?
