Following on from my GND Alignment video, here we have the SEA alignment using the ships SINS data cable (Ship Inertial Navigation System).

Thanks to Shiftie_Mover for the advice about the QUAL Countdown before switching over the NAV or IFA.

Once again if there is an error in anything I've said please let me know in the comments, thanks.

The detail in the DCS modules is amazing. I have some time in with the Dcs P-51D, IL-2 BOS, and now learning the SU-25T, which I wish I had done earlier! So much good stuff... And MAC on the way... And all the other full fidelity modules... Yeah this will do for the foreseeable future!

Just for clarification, I have been informed that its best to use IFA as the system sends error correction data to the INS from the GPS. If GPS fails then it falls back to INS minus the positioning checks. NAV is a (degraded mode navigation) ie on older aircraft that don't have GPS it can't double check its position with GPS. But just to reassure you INS drift isn't modelled in DCS World, so shouldn't have to worry about that. Hope that helps.

You should use NAV; IFA is In-Flight Alignment.
