Useful infos / how to run:

Star Trek: Armada is a real-time strategy video game developed and published in 2000 by Activision. The game's look and feel is based primarily on Star Trek: The Next Generation, and features a few of its main characters and ships. Playable factions include the United Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Star Empire and the Borg. The game received mixed to positive reviews and was noted for being one of the better Star Trek games to be made. A sequel, Star Trek: Armada II, was released on November 16, 2001.

In a cross-promotion with the Star Trek Customizable Card Game, an initial run of Armada boxes contained an exclusive playable card, the USS Jupiter.

Loved this game, only wish the borg cube would’ve been made stronger than the other same class ships of the other races to make it more movie accurate. They did this in armada 2 but something just didn’t quite work right in that game.

I still have my original disc of this game! It's the best PC game ever made.

Man, this game was a blast. I bet I played it for over 100 hours. My favorite thing was being the Borg in a Skirmish mode game and assimilating ships as they'd try to invade my space. I would end up with a fleet of Warbirds, Birds of Prey, and a few Sovereign class vessels all at my command along with my Borg Cubes. Too much fun.

I have played only a demo version from a computer magazine but I've spent dozens of hours when I was 11yo. Thanks to this game, Tridonis and Metal Fatigue I have discovered RTS genre.

If you liked this game you should get Armada 3 mod for Sins of a Solar Empire, it's fantastic.

This was such an AWESOME game. Multiplayer was super fun (although it only ran stable with 2 players).
I loved the possibility to capture / recover ships.
Fighting for the survival of one capital ships is probably a waste of micromanagement ressources (from a Starcraft progamers point of view) but it was just so awesome

Played the hell out of this game online. Saw this and baught a copy to play again. If memory serves it has sound issues with later Windows versions and you got to tinker with the acceleration to get the voice speech right.
