Nike Mercurial Vapor 1 Regen - the iconic Vapor 1 is back in a modern interpretation, and in today's review JayMike takes a deep dive into what it does well, but also what he doesn't like all that much on the new boot. It's not a remake, but features a new, soft Flytouch upper on the Vapor 16 Elite outsole, and in many ways it's a fantastic homage to the original Vapor 1 Chrome/Lime from 2002 - however, there are also a few issues that JayMike addresses.

All I can say is, Unisport has continued to do an amazing job with how they present and review football boots over the years. I don’t even kick ball anymore & somehow I’m here enjoying this video.

Thank God it was not a direct remake 😅 they are probably wearable now. OG Vapors were blister machines, first 3 were unwearable

Honestly as a guy with wide feet, these boots having that wider fit is perfect as I can actually wear my size

Hard to believe that's a mercurial. I've never seen a boot that wide at the heel. It's wider than normal trainers

I think they are the improved version of those aspects that the Vapor was often criticized for: too narrow and not having the right shape for the foot, things that were fought for. The good news is Nike listened to the users and made it wearable

OG silver mercurial had premium shiny mirror material, this looks like the cheaper 2003 Nike Talaria skin with 2024 Premium pricing :)

Got them today, and the lockdown feels just fine and pretty similar to other vapors - i have the F50 and i feel less lockdown in the heel area, these fitted lick a glove.

From photos of the boot the boot didn’t seem overly shiny which is kinda :/

Also reimagine the boot and make the boot POP more. There plenty of materials to have the boot popping more

The heel fit actually looks similar, to the David Beckham Predator 24 that was released days ago. That Predator compared to regular Pred 24s also has more room in general at the back half of the boots.
