Disclaimer: Studies have shown that Elmer’s Glue composition is inconsistent from batch to batch and is acidic, releasing formic and acetic acid. It should not be used in fossil preparation. pH-neutral white adhesive PVA (Polyvinyl Acetate) emulsions may be used as solution adhesives on fossil specimens instead. For more information, see: J. Down, M.MacDonald, J.Te’treault, S.Williams (1996) "Adhesive Testing at the Canadian Conservation Institute-An Evaluation of Selected Poly (Vinyl acetate) and Acrylic Adhesives," Studies in Conservation 41:19-44.

Fantastic Webinar. Thanks so much Rachel, brilliant. Undoubtedly the best one on this channel. Well the 1.5k views speaks for itself. Learnt so much, and your references to resources are incredibly useful too. (Shame about the Q&A at the end where Elleanor not only leaves a condescending pause after each of Rachel's answers, she kept citing off-target questions such as _"where can you buy this? where can you buy that?_ Rachel clearly does not buy any of the equipment, she is the the expert who uses them! : and how about _"will a dentist give me their old tools"_ - like, Rachel must be a fortune-teller too, lol)
