BAK Revolver X4s, The BEST tonneau cover on the market?

This is a review of the @TruckHero @BakIndustries-TC BAK Revolver X4s. When it came time for me to buy a tonneau cover for my 2021 F-150 I looked back on all of the different covers I have owned from the Lund Genesis Elite, to the Roll-N-Lock E-Series, and the LEER HF650. My goal was to look for a cover that combined all of the best features, and eliminated most of the negatives. That is why I settled on the BAK Revolver X4s. This is NOT sponsored, just my genuine point of view on why I went this direction.

Agree on the critics who complain that these covers are not super sealed waterproof enclosures. If you are hauling unwrapped toilet paper in a rainstorm...get a cap! It's a truck!

I have a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado and bought a BAK Revolver X4s fall of 2018. My rolling cover is an older model than this one on the video. I have not had any major problems with the cover. It even keeps out the water fairly well. Six years, and i am satisfied. The only recent issue is a felt strip that is designed to hold the slats from separating has come loose from the underside of the cover. I contacted BAK. Even though i am out of warranty, BAK said they have a newer model of the cover that uses a newer technology for holding the individual slats together, and they wanted to 'do right by me' and has replaced my cover for free. In a couple days, when i am off work, i am replacing the cover. Just roll it up; undo the 4 bolts; remove; put the new cover on; bolt it on; roll it out and done. I have put a lot of miles on my truck, hauling belongings and cargo between Pennsylvania and Georgia, and Florida, through rain, snow, heat, and scorching sun. I am happy with the performance of my BAK Revolver.

Hey, who are we kidding here? The real stars of this video are the stake pocket covers that let the rear of that cover blend in so well with the truck. Nice video! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

I installed a Bak Revolver 4X on my 2018 F-150 when new. It looked great and I was pleased with it. Now at 3 years old the covering material has started to crack and split along the rear slats. The rear slats also tend to jam up when folded and make it difficult to fold flat to close & latch it down. You didn't mention the price, but I paid about $1, 000 for mine, 3 yrs ago. This is quite expensive for a top that has these issues after only 3 years. I am in Michigan and this truck is garage kept and doesn't stay out in the sun for long periods of time. I also want to mention that the water leaking in at the tailgate may not let much water in when on a level ground, but if you are not parked level, and the front of the truck is low, quite a bit of water can accumulate at the front of the bed.

great video thank you, I have a revolver two trucks ago and then put a mx4 trifold on my superduty. I am getting ready to by a tremor F-150 and I am going back to the Revolver x4s on my new one. So much easier to open and close than a tri-fold and they roller cover has less water then any of my tri-folds. The last two MX4's I have had has a slow leak right in the middle of the cover. Bakflip has replaced it twice and same issue. I too agree I don't expect them to be 100% waterproof (then are not) but when going to the beach suits cases go in the middle and beach chairs, coolers go around the tailgate. great video...God bless

My bak cover is 100% waterproof. Only because I hand wash and would never subject my baby to a automatic car wash 😮😮. Good video and I agree these covers are piece of mind that for the most part rain will not completely soak everything.

I purchased a BAK Revolver from Real Truck for my '22 Ford Maverick. Your video was my motivator. I am very happy with this product. I also wrote a review on Real Truck giving you credit. Thank you for posting.

My truck has a bifold hard cover. Easy to install, has a lock on the front panel and a lock on the back panel. The front panel folds open, the back panels fold open for one or both or fold entire cover on the front panel and locked down. I live in Michigan it still works.

I just put one of these on my Sierra and did a trip to Florida. We had some heavy rain and a little water came in around the tailgate. I will never use a toolbox as my storage as this cover is amazing locks everything in the bed. Not to mention, it looks really good!

The Weathertech tri-fold hard cover is waterproof and can hold up to 400 lbs. Put one on my ‘20 F250 Platinum when I bought it in ‘20 and love it. Can fold it up and have no issues with the fifth wheel.

Great review of this tonneau cover man!! I’ve been eying up this type of cover because of the sleekness and compatibility with having a motorcycle in the bed (dirtbike and street bike). You confirmed what I was thinking.

Good review. I went with the Bakflip MX4 for my Tundra. It has 4 panels instead of 3 (6 1/2 foot bed). This is my third MX4 and I've been very pleased with all of them.

I have had this cover on my tundra for almost a year now. It has been replaced once under warranty because several of the aluminum slats came unhinged and the cover would not lay flat or lock down. Fortunately the manufacturer came good on the warranty and I had a new one in just a few days. The other issue I have with this cover is it does not like to roll in the winter when ice and snow come in contact with it. So if you need to roll this cover and you live in an area that actually gets winter then this is not the cover for you. I may be replacing mine, but I haven't found a suitable replacement yet.
