IQ and cognitive functional stacks are unrelated.

No type is "smarter" than the other. All types possess perceiving as well as thinking and feeling functions. They "prefer" to use some over the others but can switch in their stack as appropriate. That's the extent of it. This preference does not dictate ability. It doesn't even dictate if the person will use their cognitive function properly, efficiently, or correctly.

A person with a high IQ is more likely to be able to use their cognitive functions with fewer mistakes, more depth, fewer assumptions, more speed, etc. For instance, an INTP will be able to build logical systems inside their mind that are more accurate, extensive, and solid with a high IQ. Another INTP with a lower IQ is more likely to forget to cross-check a logical piece they are building on, make mistakes or grow overconfident, or have a reduced scope of logic inside their mind. The same goes for every single type and their functions.

Additionally, critical thinking, debating skills, communication skills, emotional management skills, etc., are all things that can be learned and are not acquired with type. An INTJ could be completely irrational if they do not learn to check their assumptions, if they think that they do not need to cross-check with reality (inferior Se weakness), if they consider their feelings as immutable facts (poor self-control), if they decide to solve problems in a dirty way to get fast results at the expense of proper learning and valid logic (misuse of Te), etc. That INTJs can plan long-term does not mean that their plans are based on solid thinking, good foundations, or lead somewhere good for them. A lot of INTJ that I met are emotionally immature and they use their cognition to protect their fragile egos instead of actually being "smart" or "logical". (on top, Ni being a very tricky and unconscious function leads to longer maturing time for INTJ and INFJ, which doesn't help).

Your statement (unfounded) that INTJs are the smartest creates three major problems (on top of being plain wrong):

-It falsely gives a sense of superiority to the INTJs who believe this (and they are numerous). The fact that they believe it already shows a huge dip in their logical abilities. They will become worse.
-It creates a sense of inadequacy and inferiority in the INTJs that are failing to meet this standard and know it.
-It creates a "us against the others" mentality that is divisive on top of being misplaced.

I have met and taught some INTJs. Some of them had indeed high IQs, but others didn't. That's simply life, and we need to learn to do the best with the resources we are given. Denial of reality and facts leads nowhere good.

Last, but not least, L isn't even an INTJ. He's an INTP poster child.

I think INTP have the highest IQ and followed by INTJs.
