For this first episode of Airship Legends (an episode will be uploaded every Tuesday) we talk about the first ever U.S. Airship built the USS Shenandoah nicknamed the "Empress Of The Clouds" and the "Daughter Of The Stars" sadly after only 2 years of service the Shenandoah broke apart and crashed on September 3rd 1925 may she remembered in glory as the first helium filled airship ever to be built, the first airship to be commissioned into the U.S. Navy and the first aircraft to complete the first ever U.S. transcontinental flight
