AP PHYSICS C MECHANICS: How to Solve a Differential Equation for Velocity as a Function of Time

In this video, you will learn how to write a differential equation for velocity as a function of time, and solve that equation for a situation in which an object is subject to a variable resistive force (F = -kv).

In AP Physics C: Mechanics, the calculus concepts of differentiation and integration are useful when the force acting on an object is not constant. Otherwise, you can use the kinematics equations for constant acceleration.

thank you, I'm in my senior year and going to take the ap physics c mech test on may 10. Ive done a lot of calculus so these type of qs have become easier for me to solve. Great video!
