How to make Spetzofai - Traditional Greek dish

Spetzofai, is a traditional Greek dish, from the Pelion area of Central Greece.

There are a lot of variations of this dish and in Pelion, they make spetzofai by adding aubergines on the dish….we like to keep it just with peppers.
Its a delicious, sharing dish and you can make it as spicy as you like!
Its best enjoyed, with some crusty bread to mop up all the yummy juices.

Enjoy!

Ingredients for 4 people:-
5 medium sausages ( country or village sausages)
5 medium bell peppers (any colours you like)
1 tin chopped tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
Pepper to taste
100ml red wine
1 tbsp. tomato puree
1 tbsp. fresh finely chopped parsley
4 tablespoons olive oil

There is no tasty spetzofai with no garlic. Please add this in the recipe.
