I remember this song from the 80s. But i didn't know it was a Donna Summer hit. Today because of the rain a 2 and 3/4 inch roach has taken up residence in my small studio apt. And it runs and hides so fast. I have a lot of stuff where it can easily hide. Its furtive scurrying reminded me of this song. It's definitely a wanderer. And it travels everywhere. Thanks Ms. Donna.

This Fall 1980 video predated the launch of MTV by nearly a year. I wonder if it would’ve gotten played on that network had the song been popular after the cable station made its debut on 8/1/81.

She would have to wait until Summer ’83 to break through on MTV with “She Works Hard for the Money.”
